Left a negative review for a car dealership who tried to scam me
  • 03
I had a bait and switch at a dealership and when I left a negative review, I had 10 missed calls from the salesman.
  • 04
After call 11 I answered. He asked me to remove the review I left or he would get fired. This was my response (and update on google reviews that followed)

✓ LL F 9 review an hour ago If I can give one suggestion, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! When I drove 45 minutes, and made arrangements with the salesman JP prior to me coming, I was told that the online price wasn't valid and they added on

an extra 6k to their msrp, and 5k in additional dealership fees!!! After even talking with the new cars sales Manager Warren, they refused to give a realistic price on a 18k priced car (telling me 72 month term is 600 a month.

for a 18k car). JP even stated the price of the car doesn't matter unless you pay cash... it's the monthly payment what counts. Which is absolutely false. I repeat, do not go to this dealership. They will ABSOLUTELY scam you

Update: just recieved a call from stating I do not remove this review, he would get fired. I told him I refused to do so as I felt it was my right to warn other customers Press and hold to react

. E_D_K_2 14h ago Tell him you'll remove it for 6k plus 5k is fees.

MisterLeoo OP • 14h ago That is genius!

PetersonOp Pipe • 14h ago What was the interest rate on that 18k vehicle? If your trying to finance 18k over 72 months no bank is going to touch that with a 10 foot pole, hence the high interest rates.
  • 14
MisterLeoo OP • 14h ago They said 11% and I said that math still makes 0 sense. ESP since it was a range was giving me. It should of been a firm price. I was able to go to another dealership, get a 32k car for 3% interest and less than the payments than the was stating.

Slow-Concentrate7169 • 14h ago did you match the vin? maybe they try to upsell with a different trim? thats why you bring your own financing and also tell them to give you a break down of how much everything is so you can bring your own banks check.
  • 16
MisterLeoo OP • 14h ago I did! And I had the pre approval already. But as soon as I showed him the financing through capitol one, along with prices and numbers, he said that doesn't matter as their approval doesn't mean I'll get it still.... I'm like if I do the loan through capitol one it does.

    • theloneas 10h ago I left a negative review for a dealership recently after I bought a new vehicle from them. After I left my review they immediately had their employees leave positive reviews so that mine isn't the most recent. So I put a reminder on my

pc every Friday to edit the review so that it's always the most recent for the weekend shoppers, also on holidays. Yeah shady dealerships and their misleading

MisterLeoo OP • 10h ago Oh I love the shade on this. Actually not a horrible idea neither.

Rkramden 16h ago Even the phone call telling you that he'd get fired is a scam. He's not getting fired, he's doing exactly what his bosses are telling him to do. Including the phone call trying to play on your sympathy.

You should go in there 6 months from now and verify that he's still working there. Then update your review calling him out for being full of even more

. kupus0 15h ago I hate car dealerships. They are the most scammy business. I visited multiple during my long car purchase history of different brands and haven't seen a single honest one. It's shame,

car is a big investment and exciting purchase, I really don't understand why the buying experience must be so frustrating
  • 24
howimetyourmilff • 13h ago Anytime they tell you, the whole price of the car doesn't matter, only your monthly payment, stay away from them. That is such garbage. I will never understand. The overall debt is what matters most.

Tequslyder 15h ago A lot of places forget that if you treat customers well they're likely to do more business with you.
